Our flutes are coated inside and out with a natural mixture of bees wax, sunflower oil, tea tree oil (a natural antibacterial and preservative) and peppermint oil. This mixture is similar in consistency and use as the oils that Native Americans have preserved wood and other materials with for thousands of years! The oil mixture that we use is in many ways even better for the environment, our health and smells great, too! We are very health conscious and make great considerations of all that we do with people in mind, so if you are in need of a different finish, we also offer a pure olive oil finish as an alternative and have pine flutes for sale with no finish.
