Bring a little music along wherever your day takes you! Our Native American style walking cane flutes combine a wooden walking cane with a five-hole flute. Each includes a wooden handle and rubber foot, with different lengths available to suit different people.

These lightweight flutes are custom made to order from poplar, a hardwood, stained with a natural stain and finished with our natural oil-and-wax finish. Natural wood grain and color vary, giving each instrument its own character.

Available exclusively in high B

The walking cane flute comes only in the key of high B. For a deeper voice, take a look at our Walking Stick Flute, which comes in low E. The high B walking cane flute and low E walking stick flute also play well together!

Friendly for beginners and experienced players

Wondering whether to choose a four-, five- or six-hole flute? Our five-hole design is a welcoming place to begin and is enjoyable for experienced players, too. There’s no sixth finger hole that needs to stay covered with a leather strap. With gentle breath and a little practice, you can start exploring notes and melodies without previous musical experience.

The listed measurement is the total finished length, measured from the top of the handle to the bottom of the installed rubber foot.

To find a suitable starting length, wear your usual walking shoes and stand upright with your arms relaxed at your sides. Have someone measure from the floor to the crease of your wrist. The handle should sit approximately at that height, allowing a slight bend in your elbow when you hold it. Measuring is more useful than choosing by your overall height alone.

A note about use and strength

I weigh about 200 pounds and have been using one of these walking cane flutes for a long time. That is my personal experience, not a weight-capacity rating or guarantee. Any wooden cane can break if subjected to excessive weight, force or misuse, and we make no promises about weight-bearing capacity.

Each walking cane flute is custom made to order and finished with our natural oil wax. Most orders ship within 7–14 days, with delivery within the USA generally taking an additional 3–5 days after shipment.
