Each Googol flute is tuned to the rich, resonant Low E minor pentatonic scale, producing a deep, warm voice with exceptional presence. Its lower pitch creates a relaxing, soulful sound that is perfect for meditation, personal enjoyment, recording, or performance.
The name "Googol" comes from the enormous number it represents, symbolizing my hope to one day offer enough authentic, handcrafted flutes to help balance the countless mass-produced imported flutes being sold today. These are genuine, handmade instruments, crafted with care, experience, and purpose.
Creating an affordable, sustainable, high-quality Native American style flute has been my dream since the first time I saw factory-made flutes being mislabeled as "Native American." The Googol flute is the realization of that dream.
Handcrafted from sustainably grown American pine, each Low E Googol Flute measures approximately 25 inches (63.5 cm) long and 1 1/2 inches (36 mm) in diameter. It features a simple block tied with durable nylon cord and is finished with a natural oil-and-wax blend that protects the wood while enhancing both its beauty and tonal qualities.
Every flute is handcrafted in our family workshop by me and my family. Pine produces a warm, full, traditional voice and has been used in Native American style flute making for generations. Because each flute is made to order, you also have the option of adding a custom totem of your choice to make it uniquely yours (at a small extra price).
